It is a contactless, multi-purpose stored value CEPAS card that can be used for ERP and carpark payments in Singapore. The EZ-Link Motoring card can be used in 2nd Generation In-Vehicle Units (2GIU) and is future compatible with the On-Board Unit (OBU).

The EZ-Link Motoring card has a different card profile from normal EZ-Link cards and will not be eligible for an upgrade to SimplyGo EZ-Link. You can use the EZ-Link Motoring card for public transportation and retail payments.

Yes, you can continue using your existing EZ-Link cards which are CEPAS-compliant for motoring payments. Please note that you should not update your card to a SimplyGo EZ-Link as that will render your card incompatible for ERP and carpark payments.

The EZ-Link Motoring cards are available at $10 ($5 top-up value included) at Vicom Inspection centres, STA Inspection centres, 7-Eleven stores, Cheers, Fairprice Xpress stores at Esso stations, EZ-Link vending machines located at Bugis Junction, Tampines mall, Bishan Junction 8 Shopping centre and Westgate.  It is also sold for $5 (no top-up value) at EZ-Link Official Shopee store.

The EZ-Link Motoring card can hold a maximum of $500 in stored value.

You can top up the EZ-Link Motoring card on the SimplyGo app and at any EZ-Link top-up channels here.

  • For full Electronic Parking System (EPS) carparks, please keep your EZ-Link Motoring card in the In-Vehicle Unit (IU)/ On-board Unit when entering and exiting the car park.
  • For carparks that do not auto-detect your EZ-Link Motoring card when entering or exiting, please remove your card from the IU/OBU and tap and hold the card on the carpark reader.

We recommend that you download and pair your EZ-Link Motoring card on the SimplyGo app where you will have access to our suite of services. These include tracking of transactions, application for auto top-up, card blocking should you lose your card and earning of EZ-Link Rewards points for every transaction that you make. The SimplyGo app is available for both iOS and Android.

Yes, the EZ-Link Motoring card can be used for vehicle tolls at the customs checkpoint.

The EZ-Link Motoring card has a lifespan of 5 years. You can check the expiry of your card by registering it on the SimplyGo app.

If you have previously registered your card on the SimplyGo app, you can perform a card block and proceed to have your remaining funds transferred back to you. For EZ-Link Motoring cards that are not registered on the SimplyGo app but are activated on auto top-up, please seek our assistance via our eFeedback form.

You can get an immediate refund at any SimplyGo Ticket Office located at MRT stations and bus interchanges. However, if your card balance is more than $80 or your card is on auto top-up, a deferred refund will be processed at the ticket office.

If your EZ-Link Motoring card is damaged/faulty, you can request for a refund at any SimplyGo Ticket Office located at MRT stations and bus interchanges.

We are unable to offer a replacement card. Should you misplace your card, please perform a card block via the SimplyGo app if you have registered your card on the app prior. Your remaining balance will be returned to you.

If your EZ-Link Motoring card is expired, you can request for a refund at any SimplyGo Ticket Office located at MRT stations. Should you wish to use your replacement card for motoring usage, please do not update your card to SimplyGo EZ-Link.

The Auto Top-up (ATU) scheme brings ease and convenience to motorists by automatically adding value to their EZ-Link Motoring card when the remaining card value is insufficient for ERP or carpark payments, there is no need for the motorist to remove their card from their IU/OBU for the top-up. The pre-selected ATU amount will be deducted from the registered credit card.

You can apply for Auto Top-up with a Mastercard or Visa credit card through the SimplyGo app that can be downloaded from Google Play Store or App Store.

Applications for Auto Top-up can be made with a Mastercard or Visa credit card.

You can link up to three (3) EZ-Link Motoring cards or any three EZ-Link cards to each credit card.

A maximum of 6 source of funds (not inclusive of bank accounts) can be added to your SimplyGo app account.

Kindly ensure that the given bank card has not been previously added to SimplyGo app account. Each source of fund may only be added to a single SimplyGo app account, if you wish to use the given bank card in your account, kindly deregister the card and register it again.

There are no convenience fees for Auto Top-up.

The Auto Top-up (ATU) amounts available for selection are $20, $30, $40 and $50.

This is a pre-authentication charge to ensure that your credit card is valid. This charge will be released after seven (7) days.

Yes, there will be a pre-authorisation amount when balance on EZ-Link Motoring card falls below $20. This charge will be released after seven (7) days.

No, each EZ-Link Motoring card can only be activated for one Auto Top-up facility.

You can link up to a maximum of three (3) Motoring or EZ-Link cards/Concession cards (combined total of 3 cards) on a single credit card for new Auto Top-up applications.

Please link them to another credit card.

You should obtain immediate approval for Auto Top-up applications.

Yes, activation is required on an EZ-Link Motoring card if you are applying for Auto Top-up on the SimplyGo app.

For successful application of Auto Top-up via the SimplyGo app, this is done at the last step of application by tapping your card against the NFC reader. You will be prompted by the app to tap your EZ-Link Motoring card against the NFC antenna of your phone. Upon successful syncing, your Auto Top-up would be activated.

Please tap on the Auto Top-up button in the SimplyGo app to check your application and activation status.

The application page is protected by a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. It is a standard secure protocol used by other banks and financial institutions.

Should your application be rejected, you will see an error message on the screen.

If you are using an EZ-Link Motoring card, to change the Auto Top-up amount that you have previously applied for, please terminate Auto Top-up and re-apply. This process also applies for card with Auto Top-up that is pending activation.

If there is a change of your credit card number due to a card upgrade or replacement of a lost card, you can simply change your payment method for Auto Top-up and add in your new Mastercard/VISA credit card via the SimplyGo app.

If there is a change of your credit card expiry date, you can simply update on the SimplyGo app.

Termination can be done at any SimplyGo Ticket Office with your NRIC/Passport and your EZ-Link Motoring card(s). Please allow at least seven (7) working days for your account to be updated before re-applying.

Please note that if you have performed any one of the following transactions within the past four (4) days, you will not be able to terminate the Auto Top-up facility:

  • Activation of Auto Top-up
  • Auto Top-up
  • Settlement of outstanding amount

Please wait for another seven (7) days for your account to be updated, before terminating the facility.

Should you wish to refund your EZ-Link Motoring card(s), kindly do so at any SimplyGo Ticket Offices. Please bring along your NRIC/Passport and your EZ-Link Motoring card. A deferred refund will be processed, and the remaining value will be returned to your credit card/bank account.

For termination of non-activated Auto Top-up on an EZ-Link Motoring card, please send in your request via our eFeedback form. 

No, there are no fees for switching payment mode.

Once the Auto Top-up facility has been activated on an EZ-Link Motoring card, Auto Top-up will occur when the remaining value on the card is insufficient to pay for your next transaction at any ERP or carpark gantry.

Example: If you have activated Auto Top-up on your EZ-Link Motoring card for $30.00, and there is a remaining stored value of $2.50 on your card:

  1. When you drive pass the ERP gantry that charges $3.00 , the Auto Top-up will occur, because of the minimum remaining value of $3.00 required for going through the ERP gantry. Hence when you are past the ERP gantry, the new value of your card will be shown as $29.80 on your IU/OBU.
  2. When you are exiting a carpark, the Auto Top-up will occur when the carpark fee is more than the balance value on the card.

Auto Top-up can be triggered once a day.

Auto top-up transaction occur on the card when the remaining card value falls below $0.

Please check if its due to the Auto Top-up frequency limit per day. Alternatively, your Auto Top-up service could have been terminated due to an outstanding amount incurred or a failure to deduct from your source of funds.

To continue the Auto Top-up service, please visit any Top Up Kiosk or SimplyGo Ticket Office to settle the outstanding amount. To continue the Auto Top-up service, you are advised to settle any outstanding amount as soon as possible.

You can view your transactions on the SimplyGo app.

Yes, there is a monthly e-statement provided if you have registered your email address with EZ-Link. However, for debit/credit card statements provided by associated bank/card account Auto top-up transactions will show as ‘EZ-Link’.

The delayed charging is due to the different settlement procedures with different merchants, which can take up to 60 days. Please submit your enquiry via our eFeedback form.

Should you wish to refund your EZ-Link Motoring card, kindly do so at any SimplyGo Ticket Offices. Please bring along your NRIC/Passport and your EZ-Link card(s). A deferred refund will be processed and the remaining value, subject to the terms and conditions of refund for ATU enabled EZ-Link Motoring cards, will be returned to your credit card/bank account.

You can simply use the SimplyGo app to block your lost EZ-Link Motoring card or contact the SimplyGo Hotline at 1800-2255 663 (Operational hours are from Mon-Sun, 8am to 6pm, excluding public holidays).

Do pair your EZ-Link Motoring card to the SimplyGo app now as card blocking only applies to registered EZ-Link card. Should you call after office hours, please leave a voicemail to lodge your lost report.

The remaining monies left on your EZ-Link Motoring card, subject to the terms and conditions of refund of cards on the Auto Top-up facility, will be refunded back to your credit card or bank account. It will take fourteen (14) working days from the date of the loss report to process the refund. Once the EZ-Link card is reported lost, you will not be able to cancel the loss report and/or reuse the card even if the card is found, for security reasons.

Card Blocking is a free value-added service for blocking and recovering remaining value in your card* that has been misplaced. Using the SimplyGo app, you can now instantly submit your request for your card to be blocked if you have misplaced it. The remaining value within the card upon blocking will be returned to you.

*Eligible cards include EZ-Link Motoring cards, EZ-Link cards, SimplyGo EZ-Link and SimplyGo Concession cards.

For your cards to be eligible for this feature, you will need to add your cards to your SimplyGo account via the SimplyGo app.

No, this is a free service.

To block your card, log in to your account via the SimplyGo app, select the card that you would like to block and tap on the “Block” button.

Alternatively, you can contact the SimplyGo Hotline at 1800-2255 663 (8am – 6pm daily, expect Public Holidays).

For EZ-Link Motoring and EZ-Link cards (non SimplyGo):

Your EZ-Link will be blocked within 48 hours upon submitting your request via the SimplyGo app. You will be liable for transit usages done within 48 hours of card blocking. We are unable to guarantee that any or all remaining value will be recovered successfully.

Once your EZ-Link has been successfully blocked, the remaining value in your EZ-Link will be refunded to you within 7 days for SimplyGo EZ-Link/Concession cards and up to 9 days for EZ-Link cards.

For EZ-Link Motoring cards and EZ-Link cards (non SimplyGo):

Once we complete the blocking of your card, any remaining funds recovered will be refunded to another EZ-Link card (non SimplyGo) that has been added on the SimplyGo app.

You will have to complete the sync of the remaining refunded value on the SimplyGo app within 90 days, failing which, your refund will expire and there will be no further right to claim the refund of the remaining stored value.
