For affected commuters who want to use their affected DBS/POSB Mastercard Debit card for public transport, you would have to tap your card at the train fare gates and wait up to 15 mins for DBS preauthorisation to be completed before you can continue using this card for your transport fares. Establishment of SimplyGo Pte. Ltd.
Following the merger of EZ-Link and TransitLink, SimplyGo was officially established on 1 September 2024. Physical and digital touch points were integrated to provide commuters with a seamless commuting and customer service experience.
Consolidation of EZ-Link and TransitLink services under the ‘SimplyGo’ branding
On 15 June 2023, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore announced that EZ-Link Pte Ltd’s (“EZ-Link”) and Transit Link Pte Ltd’s (“TransitLink”) transit and travel card-related services would be merged into SimplyGo Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the LTA in the second half of 2024.
TransitLink's customer service centres located at MRT stations and bus interchanges were also rebranded to SimplyGo Ticket Office (for general ticketing services) and SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centres (for general ticketing services including concession card replacement services).
