Travel Smart Journeys Programme
Northeasterners – get rewarded for skipping the morning rush on the North-East Line (NEL) and the Sengkang/Punggol LRT (SPLRT)! The Travel Smart Journeys (TSJ) programme lets you earn rewards when you change your mode and/or time of travel during morning peak hours.
How it works: Register for TSJ (no enrolment criteria) and switch to selected express buses on weekday mornings (excluding public holidays). You’ll earn reward points for every eligible journey, which can be redeemed for cash rebates on your travel card.
Maximise your savings: Stack TSJ rewards with Free Morning Off-Peak Train Rides to enjoy even greater benefits. No registration needed!
Note: Seniors and Students can also earn reward points through TSJ.
Two Ways to Earn and Save: Re-mode or Re-time

Re-mode: Switch from taking the NEL to Express Bus
Earn reward points worth 80% of your morning journey fare when you switch from taking the train on the NEL to an eligible express bus service during the morning operating hours. To qualify for the reward points, you must:
- Board and tap in on an eligible bus service at any bus stop listed under the “Board” segment; and
- Tap out and alight from the same bus at any bus stop listed under the “Alight” segment.
